Dr. Kellen Brusveen

Chiropractor

Dr. Kellen is a member of the Michigan Association of Chiropractors and has been in practice since 2008. He has extensive training in Functional Neurology through the Carrick Institute, Gonstead Clinical Seminars, and has completed a basic certification through Chiropractic Bio Physics,allowing us to complete spine specific rehab and corrective care.

Faith, family, and friends are some top priorities to Dr. K. He enjoys spending time with his two beautiful boys and wife. Soccer, basketball, skiing, swimming, bike rides, and family golf lessons are just some of the family activities you can find us doing!

Dr. John DuShaw

Chiropractor

Dr. John is a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic and Grand Valley State University where he earned a B.S. in biomedical science.

While at GVSU, John discovered the benefits of chiropractic after a sports injury.After being inspired by his own chiropractic treatment, John knew he wanted to provide that same care to others.

Dr. John is continuously inspired by the positive effects chiropractic care has on his patients’ lives. He is passionate about healing the body through natural remedies and offering those in pain an opportunity to live pain-free.

Originally from Clarkston, Michigan, Dr. John now lives in Grand Rapids with his wife, Rachel. When he’s not at the office he’s an avid soccer fan and enjoys spending his summers on the golf course.

Dr. Joel Schamber

Chiropractor

Dr. Joel first became interested in chiropractic care during high school and undergraduate school where he studied Sport and Exercise Science and competed on the Track and Field team. He knew he wanted to go into a field where he could help other athletes perform at the top of their game.

Furthering his education at Palmer College of Chiropractic’s Florida campus, he found a passion for working with all kinds of patients by promoting health and wellness through care and lifestyle. After school he returned to Michigan so that he could use his training to help his home, community, and be close to family.

Outside the office, Dr. Joel enjoys spending time with his family and staying active. Some of his favorite activities are hiking, camping, and kayaking in the warmer months, and skiing during the winter.

Dr. Trent Johnson

Chiropractor

Dr. Trent Johnson earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Grand Valley State University before completing his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa.

A lifelong athlete, Dr. Trent developed an early appreciation for movement and performance. Growing up in sports shaped his understanding of how the body adapts, recovers, and thrives when properly supported. While studying at GVSU, he experienced chiropractic care firsthand and witnessed the powerful impact it had on overall function and quality of life. That experience solidified his passion for helping others move better and function at their highest potential.

Dr. Trent is continually inspired by the body’s remarkable ability to heal and adapt. His approach emphasizes evidence-informed, patient-centered care focused on restoring proper movement, reducing pain, and optimizing performance—whether that means returning to sport, staying active with family, or simply living without limitations.
Outside the office, Dr. Trent enjoys spending time with his wife, Helena, and their daughter, Sadie. He stays active through strength training, hiking, and golf.

Jenn Elliott

Director of Rehab and Fitness

Jenn is one of our Chiropractic Assistants and our Director of Rehab and Fitness. She was a medical assistant for over 15 years and is very experienced in-patient care. She is in the office to assist with therapy and care to help provide total health and wellness for each individual. When not in the office she enjoys spending time with her kids and working out.

Mishel Fryman

Insurance and Billing Coordinator

Mishel is our Billing Coordinator as well as one of our Chiropractic Assistants in the office. She grew up in the area and married her high school sweetheart, Mike. She has 2 children Brooke and Dylan. She enjoys camping with her family and friends. Mishel and her husband coach several different sports for Special Olympics. Their son Dylan competes in multiple sports for Special Olympics! Her and her family all love rugby as well.

Molly Prins

Office Manager

Molly has been with us since December 2022 and is our Office Manager and one of our Chiropractic Assistants.

Outside of work, she enjoys a large variety of activities which include running her photography business, playing the piano, spending time with family and friends, and being involved in church and ministry. She also loves traveling, hiking, volleyball, and pickleball and tries to make time for everything!

Dena Palmbos

Insurance & Billing Coordinator

Dena has worked in the chiropractic community as a medical biller, chiropractic assistant and as a licensed massage therapist for 18 years She enjoys helping clients improve their wellness, mobility, and overall quality of life. Outside of her professional life, Dena enjoys spending quality time with her husband and two children. She loves supporting her kids in their activities, making memories with family and friends, relaxing at the beach, and traveling whenever she has the opportunity.

Kylie Wezeman

Chiropractic Assistant

Kylie joined our team in January 2026 as a Chiropractic Assistant. She has worked in the chiropractic field for 3 years and has a passion for all things natural health. Outside of work you can find her riding dirt bikes through the woods, working on multiple puzzles at a time and spending time with her family and pets.

Roque Cuellar

Massage Therapist

Roque is our massage therapist. He has been a licensed massage therapist for 13 years and specializes in sports massages, Myofascia release, and deep tissue work. He also has experience in relaxation massages for spa purposes.

Ben Austin

Massage Therapist

I’ve been a licensed massage therapist since 2023. After recently returning to West Michigan after spending time living in Pennsylvania I got married in January 2026! I am passionate about helping people stay active and pain-free, whether they’re weekend warriors or high-level athletes. With a strong interest in sports and movement, I focus on practical, results-driven care that supports performance and recovery.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and dog, getting outside for a run, going to sporting events and taking advantage of the West Michigan beaches during the summer!
